As I was writing a book review for Judith Couchman’s “The 
Mystery of the Cross,” on our Book Review page here on Higher Heights, I just had to take a moment to reflect on who Christ is to me, and what Christ did for me! I know He loves everyone but some days you just have to make it personal. Without Christ, I am nothing. I shiver to think about where I would be without Him. I am amazed to think about where I am in my life because of Him!
His birth, death, and resurrection has given me the opportunity to live a life that is new and not hindered by the past. Because of His love, I have been given salvation, forgiveness, grace, mercy, victory, peace, love, friendship, better promises, security, a warrior to fight for me… The blood of Jesus sealed my covenant with God. Can you imagine a better partner, a better friend to be in covenant with?
As you go through your day, please be sure to take time to reflect on the life that you have been given or offered because of what Christ gave on the cross. Think on the transforming power of God. Think on what He has done for you. Think about where He has brought you from, what He has brought you through and what He is bringing you to. Be thankful today. Offer up a sacrifice of praise to God today. Stay in a state of worship to our King and be ever reminded of what He accomplished for us because of His love for us!
