Hey Everyone! I’m in Nashville, Tennessee celebrating all week! I am having a great time! My family is hilarious! Believe me when I say we have been having a GREAT time! It’s good when family can get together. It’s really good when family can get together and celebrate and honor one another!
Today is Mother’s day and we are celebrating My Mom (Harriett Lilly Bandy Reynolds) as well as celebrating and remembering all Mothers who have impacted our lives. What a joy it is that every last one of Mom’s children, grandchildren and great grandchild could be here together this week to honor her and remind her of just how special and important she is to us. What a gift my Mom is to us and to this world!!!!!!!!!
My Nephew, Wellsman Andre Reynolds graduated yesterday from Belmont University. It was a great graduation and celebration afterwards. This coming Wednesday my niece, Angellec J. Reynolds will be graduating from The Nashville School of the Arts High school. We are looking forward to celebrating her as well. Also, in about two weeks, my nephew, Percy (P.J.) will be graduating from middle school. He is going into High school next year!! Yeah, go P.J.!!! Whohoo!!!!! We are so incredibly proud of them not simply based upon the fact that they have accomplished something great, but simply because of the wonderful and great people they are. Great people can’t help but accomplish great things!
I want to challenge you today to appreciate and celebrate the people in your lives on a regular bases. Remind your chidren, your family, your friends of how much you believe in them and of how great they are. Instead of focusing on the errors you think they are making in their lives, catch them having great moments and reinforce it with some personal praise and positive encouragement. I challenge you to search for the good in them and seek out good news!
In a day when we live in a world that is inundated with bad news, when every time we turn on the TV, we are constantly bombarded by news of horrendous crimes commited against one another, deadly weather, a horrible economy, job layoffs, gas prices on the rise, politicans gone bad, teens gone wild…, it is wonderful to find time to highlight good news-things that offer us hope. It’s great to catch people doing good. It reminds us that God is still good, still on the throne and still in complete control. My Pastor, Larry M. Trice, Jr., has been ministering on “Good News in Bad Times.” It’s has been a wonderful reminder to keep our focus on Christ (who is THE Good News) and how He can change and impact our lives in spite of what we have experienced in the past. He is the Hope of world. Let continue to find ways to share with and offer each other that hope.
Congratulations to all Graduates! We are so proud of you. Keep up the great work. Know that with God leading you and as you continue to develop great habits and great character, you will have no other choice but to accomplish great things. You are destined for it! You were “Created by Greatness for Greatness!!!” You had better believe it.
Parents, or whoever, please let me know of the graduate in your home or family. I want to list them. Let’s celebrate them. I am also working on a new “Highlights”page. If you get caught doing good, we want to highlight you!
Lastly, Happy Mother’s day to all Mothers! Thank you for doing all that you do. You may or may not hear it all the time, but we love you! We appreciate you and recognize the impact you have had and continue to have in our lives.
Stay encourage and in God’s presence!!
Wendy M. Reynolds
P.S. I have added a few pictures from the graduation and celebration. They are on the “Family Matters” page. Check out Dad. I’m sending that one to his church!
Hey Lady
As always, very encouraging, inspirational knowledge to live by.The pictures of the graduation are great. I could feel the love and excitement through the web. It is always wonderful when family gets together for positive times as opposed to sad times (i.e. funerals). Tell your nephew congratulations for me! Love you and stay Great
